Story
Our Story
We are three middle‑aged men from Rochdale — Tim Knight, Tim Fairley, and David Kennedy — taking on an extraordinary challenge in memory of our great friend Simon “Teddy” Taylor, who sadly passed away from a sudden heart attack in 2023.
The Challenge
On 7 June 2026, we’ll set off from Oslo, Norway, beginning a ten‑day cycling journey through some of the most dramatic and demanding landscapes in Europe. Our route takes us all the way to the Arctic Circle, finishing in Bodø on 16 June 2026.
Across roughly 1,500 km, we’ll climb more than 55,000 ft (17,000 m) — a test of endurance that reflects both the scale of the challenge and the strength of the friendship that inspires it.
Riding for Teddy
This ride is for Simon “Teddy” Taylor.
It’s for everyone affected by heart disease.
And it’s for the incredible teams who support families during their toughest moments.
Our Target
We’re aiming to raise £100,000, with all donations split equally (50/50) between:
British Heart Foundation (RCN: 225971)
Springhill Hospice (RCN: 701798)
All funds will be processed via The JustGiving Foundation (RCN: 1098313).
Thank You
Your support means the world to us. Every donation — big or small — helps turn this journey into something truly meaningful.
Thank you for being part of Teddy’s legacy.
