Great North Run 2024 · 8 September 2024 ·

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

We are running the Great North Run this year for Prostate Cancer UK.

This charity is close to both us and our families.

We are hoping by doing this not only can we raise money for a worthy cause but also spread awareness for something that is not talked about enough!

Please, if you are in a position to do so, donations can be made on our Just giving page!

Across the UK - Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. More than 52,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year on average – that's 144 men every day. Every 45 minutes one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 12,000 men every year.
