Story

My stepdad Mark Burrows died over a year ago at Pendleside Hospice from cancer. He was an amazing person, an absolute laugh and all round good guy. The hospice did everything they could to help him throughout his stay there. If you knew Mark or know the charity please donate and help out this fantastic charity.

Pendleside Hospice exists to provide free services that enhance the quality of life for local people living with advancing, long

term and life limiting illnesses, through to end of life and in bereavement. All our services involve our patients, their carers and families in their future care choices and we work in partnership with other health and social care providers to ensure the highest level of care. We always remember that you are a person and not just a patient. The Hospice provides a range of services, both within the Hospice building and in the local community. Our annual running cost are now around £6 million with our local NHS providing approximately 20% of our funding. As a registered charity Pendleside Hospice must raise over £4.8 million each year through supporter donations, fundraising events, sponsorship and sale of goods.
