Story
Louise is a lovely friend that I worked with during the pandemic at the Manchester Mass Vaccination and more recently at Intrahealth, administering flu vaccinations to school children. I was devastated to be told that she was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour shortly after Christmas.
She has since undergone major brain surgery and in true Louise style, she continues her positivity with an amazing sense of humour and continues to make all her friends laugh.
In the next couple of months Louise will take on her own challenge as she begins radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
She is such an inspirational Nurse who has spent all of her life caring and helping others not only in the UK but other countries too. I am one of 10 nursing friends, who have decided to show Louise how much we love and respect her by taking part in the 10k Manchester Run on the 18th May to raise money for her chosen charity.
Louise's chosen charity is Maggie's which is a service that provides practical and emotional support for families that are being affected by cancer which is based at The Christie.
