At the end of May I will be taking on this challenge of 3 peaks, in just 3 days, in the Alps, all to raise vital funds for Spinal Research.

Back in the ’90s, in a skiing accident, I was extremely lucky to escape without any spinal cord damage/paralysis myself, suffering only from a broken, dislocated coccyx.

I am excited to be part of the team together with an old friend, Claire Guy, a Physiotherapist specialising in Spinal rehab, and who nudged me into doing this challenge with her! (She knows this charity and its work well.)

All donations will go direct to Spinal Research to help them fund more research into finding a cure for the devastating effects of paralysis to give hope to those living with a spinal cord injury.

Spinal Research is the UK’s leading medical charity funding research to develop effective treatments for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. There are an estimated 105,000 people in the UK living with such an injury.

Spinal Research receive no government funding and rely entirely on the support of the public to raise funds for their research, which has achieved a number of groundbreaking changes in the field.
