Over the last few months I have been going through a whirlwind of tests and scans and recently received a Stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis with lymph node involvement.

Next week, I officially begin phase one of my treatment, which starts with 3 to 4 months of chemotherapy. After taking some time to recover, I will then undergo a full mastectomy, followed by a course of radiotherapy. It is going to be a long road, but with my incredible family and friends by my side, I am remaining positive and feel ready to tackle this head on.

One of the hardest parts of this journey is the upcoming hair loss. Instead of waiting for it to happen, I’ve decided to take control. On 4th July 2026 following my first round of chemotherapy I will be doing a "Brave the Shave" head shave! ✂️

Ten years ago this summer, I stood alongside my lovely friend Becks to support her through her ‘brave the shave’ when she first received her breast cancer diagnosis, and I also want to take this opportunity to honour her beautiful memory. 🕊️❤️

For the last 18 months, I have been incredibly proud to volunteer with Helping Hearts Fylde. This amazing charity works tirelessly to support families, individuals, and rough sleepers across our community.

Having seen firsthand how much every single penny matters to the people we support, I want to use my own challenge to give back to them.
