Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My fourth book includes amazing individuals who died between the end of 2022 and the end of 2024 - all re-imagined as rabbits

The printing of the book is funded and published by Pyramid Gallery York and the book is given away. Any donations to St Leonard's are gratefully received. As a guide - the book itself has cost £4 per book

I fundraise for St. Leonard's Hospice because I believe that the Hospice movement enables people to die with dignity and with a greater sense of control, a kind of empowerment.

My own father Maurice Brett (rabbit: 6.3.2002) died from prostate cancer. He seemed to be in denial of his own demise (was still working on a magazine article just 10 days before dying) but finally announced to the world that he could not go on. He checked into his local Hospice on 5 March and died on the the 6 March. The Hospice enabled him to take control. They also gave him ice cream. I have been raising money for my local Hospice ever since with a total of just over £10000 raised by means of fundraising exhibitions in Pyramid Gallery, charity shows such as The Crescent Cabaret and by giving away this book
