26 miles on my 26th year on the 26th of May.

That sounded way too good to pass up. After running umpteen 5ks, 10ks and a couple of halls, it's now definitely time for the big one! So I'll be running the Edinburgh marathon this year and raising money along the way for a great wee charity.

Crosshouse Children's Fund is the charity for babies, children and young people in hospital in Ayrshire and Arran.

Each year more than 25,000 babies, children and young people are treated at University Hospital Crosshouse, and the Ayrshire Maternity and Neonatal Units.

With the help of communities across Ayrshire and Arran, Crosshouse Children's Fund raises vital funds to help these children and their families.

The charity provides pioneering medical equipment and research, helps families navigate the pressures of a hospital stay, and supports the mental health of children by enabling them to play in hospital.
