Story
I’m embarking on a 1,084-mile (1,743 km) virtual journey — the full length of the UK from Land’s End to John O’Groats — powered by my own footsteps and pedal strokes. Through running, walking, and cycling across my local trails and moorlands, I’m raising funds for Bolton & Radcliffe Cats Protection. This challenge is more than just distance — it’s a celebration of endurance, compassion, and my love for cats. Every mile brings me closer to helping vulnerable felines find safety, care, and a loving home.
My goal is to complete this 1,084-mile adventure by my wife’s birthday on 28th February 2026. Each month, I’ll be covering between 130 and 160 miles through running, walking, and cycling across my local area and moorlands.
I have a keen interest in supporting this charity which is very important to my wife Tonya and myself. I have seen how hard all the volunteers work with rehoming, Trapping and Neutering and wanted to help in my own small way.
We have fostered many cats and currently we share our home with 2 rescue cats.
Another benefit of this challenge is the pledges to plant trees and help reduce plastic in the oceans which was another positive reason to embark on this challenge.
I would like to raise £1084 and any money raised will be put to good use within the branch.
