Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I always love raising money for charity. Chorley fc community foundation is close to my heart for many reasons. 1is being Its my home town and 2 is they are doing a lot of work with veterans. I struggle daily with PTSD and this charity is working with veterans to help them get through bad times.
I will be stepping into the boxing ring with a very challenging fight against a much younger and fresher fighter. However I am going to step up and to is to raise as much money for this amazing charity as i can. However I can not do this without your support. Every £ you donate will give me the drive and the energy to push my body to extreme limits. Please donate as much or a little as you can. Thank you so much for your support x
Chorley FC Community Foundation was created to make a real difference in the lives of local people through the power of football. Founded in 2019, the Foundation builds on the proud history and community spirit of Chorley FC, using the club’s name and reach to bring people together and create positive change across the borough.
We’re not just about football – we’re about people. Our projects support everyone from children taking their first kick of a ball, to adults looking for new ways to stay active or connect with others. Whether it’s helping young people build confidence, supporting veterans to find friendship, or offering older residents a reason to get out of the house, everything we do is about creating a stronger, healthier, and more connected Chorley.
At the heart of our Foundation is a simple belief: football has the power to change lives. By working with local schools, community groups, and partners, we aim to make sure everyone, whatever their age, background, or ability has the chance to belong, grow, and thrive.
What It’s All About
Transitioning from military life can sometimes feel isolating — but you’re never alone. The Veterans Breakfast provides a welcoming environment where you can chat with people who understand, share experiences, and offer support to one another.
It’s not just a place to eat breakfast. It’s a place to rebuild camaraderie, spark new friendships, and have a voice in shaping what happens next for Chorley’s veteran community.
A Voice for Veterans
The group meets once a month to talk about ideas, design activities, and plan opportunities for other veterans to get involved from coffee mornings and walks to social trips and community projects.
Everything we do is led by the veterans themselves, ensuring the activities reflect what matters most to those who’ve served.
