I am running the Manchester half marathon to raise money for The Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust. I recently had my own experience with thyroid cancer that resulted in having half of my thyroid removed. Despite my own experience being very positive and thyroid cancer having excellent outcomes - there are some rarer forms of thyroid cancer that can be quite nasty. The Butterfly Thyroid Cancer Trust aims to support those with thyroid cancer through their treatment, raise awareness and contribute towards important research.
