This year, I'm taking on only my second half marathon to raise money for LAMP (Leicestershire Action for Mental Health Project), an independent mental health charity based in Leicester.

LAMP provides free, confidential mental health advocacy and carer support, helping people navigate what can often be a complex and overwhelming mental health system. Their work ensures that vulnerable individuals and their families are listened to, supported, and empowered when they need it most.

This cause is particularly close to my heart. I have experienced anxiety and depression over many years, so I understand first-hand how important access to support can be during difficult times. Alongside this, I work with mental health data and regularly see the growing pressures on mental health services across the country. This has given me an even greater appreciation of the vital role charities such as LAMP play in supporting people who might otherwise struggle to access the help they need.

By supporting this challenge, you'll be helping LAMP continue their invaluable work for people experiencing mental health difficulties and their families.
