Story

*UPDATE*

Thank you to everyone who who has donated so far. I am pleased to say we completed the challenge.

Last September our friend Gav died in a tragic accident whilst on holiday in South Africa.

Over the last few years Gav had been walking sections of the Thames Path from the source of the river towards the Thames Barrier. He had walked as far as Staines, 48 miles short of the end.

On the 6th September a group of his friends are going to walk 28 miles from Staines to Putney Bridge and on the 7th we will walk (or possibly hobble) the remaining 20 miles from Putney Bridge to the Thames Barrier as a tribute to our mate.

Gav's favourite charity was The British Red Cross Society so we want to raise as much money as we can to honour his memory.

We would be very grateful for any donations.
