Our wonderful mum, nanny, partner and dear friend, Elaine James, sadly passed away from cancer on Saturday 27th June 2026.

During the final 16 days of her life, we were incredibly fortunate to be cared for by the amazing team at St Barnabas House. They became our angels, providing Mum with such compassion, dignity and kindness when we reached the point where we could no longer care for her at home ourselves. Their support meant more to our family than words can express, and we will be forever grateful.

In Elaine's memory, we will be taking part in the Night to Remember walk on 26th September 2026 to help raise funds for the Southern Hospice Group.

Southern Hospice Group is a local charity bringing together three much-loved hospices: Chestnut Tree House children's hospice near Arundel, Martlets in Hove, and St Barnabas House in Worthing. Together, they provide specialist care and support for children, young people and adults living with life-limiting conditions. They help patients and their loved ones make the very most of the precious time they have together, offering expert palliative care both within their hospices and in people's own homes across Sussex and South East Hampshire.
