Story

Our why…

Florrie was accepted and granted the services of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice in Summer 2023.

On 22nd November 2023 Florrie (along with her Daddy) set off for Horizon House for her first respite stay.

On arriving at Horizon House we instantly felt so welcome by all the Staff and most importantly we felt right at home… A real home from home!

Throughout Florrie’s respite stay she had such a fun time, so much so her stay actually had to be cut short due to extreme fatigue and anyone who knows Florrie knows she suffers from fatigue so much, it’s all part of her ongoing condition.

From minutes after arriving at Horizon House we knew we had to give back to those who have helped and supported not just Florrie but us as a family so after a very exciting and informative meeting with our Community Outreach Fundraiser we pledge to raise as much money as we possibly can for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice and we kindly ask for our family, friends and the wider community to support us where and when possible…
