My loved one suffers from an illness called Adrenoleukodystrophy. He has deteriorated from being an active man to being bed bound since mid 2017. The journey has been challenging, with countless hospital visits and fluctuations in care. The hospital professionals have been a source of support, ensuring that my loved one receives the necessary treatment and care. In gratitude, I am participating in the Reading Half Marathon 2025 to raise funds for the Royal Berks Charity, benefiting the wards where my loved one receives care. This is a small gesture to express our immense appreciation for the compassionate care provided by the hospital staff.
