According to THB’s research, in 2024 hygiene poverty affects 4.2m adults in the UK. The cost-of-living crisis and the inflation crisis have pushed over 1m people more into hygiene poverty than in 2022.

That is why our network of projects exists – to give people access to the basics they need.

• Maximized Impact: Cash allows us to purchase specifically requested products at cost price, ensuring we get exactly what is needed.

• Project Support: Your cash donations help us run our projects effectively, covering essential costs that keep our initiatives going.

• Leverage Your Donation: We are able to buy pallets and cover storage costs. A recent donation cost of £350 and we provided £5000 worth of laundry products to the local community. We also buy products from In Kind Direct a website that provides huge discounts for us.

The Hygiene Bank Moira has donated 25000KG of hygiene products to the local area since beginning in 2020. We have over 20 registered community partners in the local area who are registered charities, community groups and schools. An example of our community partners are Lisburn Foodbank, Atlas, Home-start and Women’s Aid to name a few.
