We’re Age UK and we’re here to make sure every older person feels included and valued. Whether it’s providing free information and advice, tackling loneliness and isolation or campaigning for older people’s rights – we’ll be there. Your support makes it possible.

Story

Recently our family sadly lost our amazing Nan - Rose. A huge hole has been left in our hearts ❤️

Joe and I are taking part in a HYROX race at the end of January, and we would love to raise money for Age UK, in memory of Rose 🌹

Up until a few years ago when Nan was more able, she would attend monthly coffee and cake mornings, as well as choir practice all organised by Age UK. This year whilst her health was declining, the charity phoned to check in on her, and also provided my Mum with helpful information to support with Nan.

Nan lived to the impressive age of 97!

She was lucky to have a caring daughter, and four grandchildren (along with their partners) who visited her frequently. However this isn’t the case for everyone. Charities like Age UK try to help combat loneliness in the elderly by providing befriending services both over the phone and in person.

‘’Age UK provide a variety of life enhancing services and vital support to people later in life’’

We would really appreciate any donation, no matter how small 😌

Here’s to Nanny Rose! ❤️

Thank you so much,

Katrina and Joe xxx

FOR THOSE WONDERING WHAT A HYROX RACE IS:

HYROX combines both running & functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.

It follows the following pattern -

We’ve already been training for the event and will continue to do so until race day! We appreciate all your support whether it’s in the form or a morale boost or a donation to support Age UK.

Age UK:

Imagine going all week without speaking to another person. Sadly, that’s the reality for thousands of older people across the UK. In today’s society, too many older people feel discarded and forgotten. But with your support, Age UK can change things.

Through their 24-hour Advice Line, friendship services and campaigning, Age UK is changing lives so every older person feels included and valued.

Please donate to my page so Age UK can continue to be there and provide crucial support and services - today, tomorrow, and in the future.
