Marie Curie Hospice, Belfast provides expert care, guidance and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families.

Story

On Sunday, 3 May 2026, a hardy group of barristers will be lacing up their running shoes for the Belfast City Marathon, completing the full 26.2‑mile route in relay teams, with our member Tim Haslett impressively taking on the full marathon distance himself in support of the Bar’s charity partner, Marie Curie (NI).

Marie Curie is a local charity that helps people living with any terminal illness, and those close to them, by providing free palliative and end of life care, information, and support. All donations towards our target will be gratefully received.

Please remember to indicate which Bar Association or Society relay team, you are supporting, as the Tim Ferriss QC Memorial Cup will be awarded to the team who raises the most for this very worthy cause.
