Hello! We're 10 colleagues from Breaking Barriers - plus valiant friends and family. On 10th May we ran, clambered and (occasionally) face-planted our way through a 10k* Inflatable Run to help refugees find meaningful employment.

Refugees flee their homes in fear. From war, persecution, and violence. With yet more hardship waiting in the UK.

A new country. Often a new language. A new work culture. Stigma and suspicion. Refugees are four times more likely to be unemployed. And many are left to face these challenges alone.

That’s where Breaking Barriers comes in.

It's now 10 years since the charity was founded. During that time, our staff, volunteers and partners have provided advice, education and opportunities for 3,560 people on their employment journeys. And we've celebrated 3,054 times as our clients have entered volunteering placements, education opportunities and jobs.

But demand for Breaking Barriers' services is growing. Our work is not done. And we need your support to start the next 10 years as we mean to continue - helping more refugees to build new lives.
