The Big 5 Challenge
Campaign by Birmingham Hospice (RCN 1156964)
For more than a century, our hospices have been part of Birmingham's story. Five years ago, we became one hospice with one shared purpose: providing outstanding care for local people and families. Help us celebrate with five days of fundraising. 💖

Story

This August marks five years since our two hospices came together to become Birmingham Hospice, creating the largest provider of adult hospice care across Birmingham, Sandwell and Sutton Coldfield. It costs £54,795 per day to run all of Birmingham Hospices services every day.

On Wednesday 26 August 2026, we are inviting local companies and friends of our hospice to join us, in the heart of Birmingham, in cycling a total distance, or as close as, of 54.79KM on static bikes. Every KM cycled will help raise awareness and show your support for Birmingham Hospice. We'll be collecting donations from members of the public throughout the event, and if you and your team would like to carry out any additional fundraising beforehand or on the day, we'd be incredibly grateful for your support. Together, we’re making every moment matter.

Taking part are:

The Wilkes Partnership

Rolls-Royce

Beazley

Bannatyne

As a charity, Birmingham Hospice relies on the generosity of people like you. We estimate it will cost £20 million this year to provide these essential services, ensuring the 685 people currently receiving care from our hospice teams each day, along with their loved ones, have access to the support they need.

Every pound raised helps Birmingham Hospice continue to deliver outstanding care across our communities.
