Introducing The Campbell Clinic fundraiser for The Canmore Trust

WHAT are we doing?

We have been supporters of The Canmore Trust for several years. Our first donation to the charity was when John Gibson, a longtime friend of the Campbell Clinic and Academy, walked from Land’s End to John O’Groats in memory of his son Cameron, fundraising and starting open conversations about suicide prevention and postvention. We can’t replicate that as individuals, but as a team we can work together to cover the walking distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats this June, by recording and totalling all the walking and running we do over 30 days. The walking distance of the ‘End-to-end trail’ is a huge 1215 miles so it is going to be a challenging month!

WHO is taking part?

The whole Campbell Clinic team.

HOW are we doing this?

It’s not just for the distance walkers and runners amongst us. Whether it’s walking the dog, walking to school or to the bus stop – it all counts, as long as it is on foot! 

It will be a challenge to cover this distance, and we will all have to sometimes walk when we might have driven, squeeze in some lunchtime strolls, find time for some evening fresh air, all of which will be good for our mental wellbeing. To boost our mileage we are planning a team walk in the beautiful Peak District.

WHY are we doing this?

To fundraise for The Canmore Trust, supporting them on their journey to create safe spaces for lives impacted by suicide.
