Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge 2024 Saturday 18 May

Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia - it's one of the biggest health challenges of our time. Families affected are often left feeling exhausted and overwhelmed and don’t know where to turn. But with the support of an Admiral Nurse and Dementia UK, families facing the fear and confusion of dementia know they’re not alone.

Ten members of staff of the Drapers’ Company have signed up to walk 34km from Corfe Castle, along the Jurassic Coast and finish in Weymouth to raise funds for Dementia UK. For some of the team, the reason for taking part is a personal one, for others the connection is more distant but no less impactful. Everybody at some point in their life will be touched by dementia, and so please make a donate to help the Admiral Nurses provide a lifeline of support and guidance to families dealing with this disease.
