The Flying Bulls Redbull Soapbox fundraiser for ME Association

Oliver Rees is raising money for ME Association
In memory of Ollie Brownbill

Redbull Soapbox Race London 2026 · 20 June 2026

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.

Story

We’re Team The Flying Bulls, formerly Team Hoveraid, back after our last Soapbox success and ready to raise the bar. With the race in London, we’re building a true British classic: a pub – complete with working taps and proper snacks to make the judges feel at home and the crowd feel thirsty. We’re also racing for charity, supporting friends affected by ME/CFS and its impact on mental health. For us, the pub is about connection, laughter and bringing people together for a good chat – this time at full speed down the hill.

Please help us to support people with ME and their families.

ME (Myalgic Encephalopathy), or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, blights the lives of over 400,000 people in the UK today. The smallest exertion can floor them; their joints and muscles ache unbearably; restful sleep eludes them; and ‘brain fog’ clouds their thinking. It changes lives drastically – disrupting study; making work impossible; and straining family relations to breaking point. Many sufferers cannot leave their homes. There is no known cure.

Please help us to help them.
