This September, Carlo and I will be running 10k to raise money for The Worst Girl Gang Ever Foundation. We should have been welcoming our longed-for baby Lenny into the world in August, but earlier this year we heard the words that completely shattered our world - that our little one no longer had a heartbeat.

We were utterly heartbroken and I found myself desperately searching for something or someone that could help me get through it. We are blessed with brilliant and loving family and friends, but I needed to find connection with other people who truly understood the pain.

At this point I found the TWGGE community and honestly I cannot emphasise enough how crucial this warriorship was to getting me through the darkest days, when I was a mere shell of a human. The podcast, the community, the kindness and compassion shown by others who have also known unimaginable pain and sadness - it’s incredible.

Bex and Laura have created something amazing, something that has given me and so many others the hope and connection we needed.

We’re taking part in this run to give back and help others find the same support that’s made such a difference for me, and by extension Carlo. Every contribution, no matter the size, can make a real difference in helping people feel seen and less alone. Thank you for standing with us and supporting this amazing cause.

I also hope that sharing our journey will help others to feel less alone or that they can speak up and share what they’ve been through. And if you need it, the gang will always welcome you with open arms ❤️‍🩹
