Young's have partnered with Rugby charity Wooden Spoon to celebrate rugby in its 200th year and raise funds for Pass the Plate

Story

In celebration of Youngs 193rd birthday, our GM sam along with keen team members will be running a half marathon along 12 of our sister pubs, all in support of this great charity. A bit of fun along the way and talks of half a pint of Youngs Original at every check point.

Wooden Spoon is the childrens charity of rugby. We are a grant-making charity and fund life-changing projects across the UK & Ireland.

We have a national footprint, but the largest part of our income is raised by local volunteers. Our aim is that every penny that our volunteers raise is spent in their local communities.

We are asking you, the rugby community, to come together, in the true spirit of rugby and help us change young peoples lives through charities such as Pass the Plate.

The scheme will see Wooden Spoon provide local programmes with monetary donations to help people in these challenging economic times and, will contribute to putting food on the plates of many.
