Story
On Young’s Day, we’re taking on a Half Pint Half Marathon — a very different kind of half marathon!
We’ll be travelling between Henry House's pubs, starting at The Bull in Westfield at 10:30am and making our way through the day before finishing at The Grange in Ealing, with plenty of running, games, challenges and, of course, a few half pints along the way!
But this isn’t just about having fun. Young’s has partnered with Wooden Spoon, rugby’s children’s charity, to raise funds for The Clink Charity.
The Clink provides people in prison with the opportunity to gain new skills, qualifications and valuable experience in catering and horticulture. Students train in a professional working environment while working towards recognised City & Guilds qualifications, helping them build the skills and confidence they need for life after prison.
The Clink also supports students with practical things such as securing accommodation upon release, giving them a genuine opportunity to return to their communities, turn their lives around and ultimately reduce reoffending and improve public safety.
So while we’ll be running (and drinking) our way across London, every penny we raise will help support a programme that gives people the opportunity to build a better future.
If you can spare a few pounds, please sponsor our Half Pint Half Marathon and help us raise as much as possible for this fantastic cause.
