Story
The March will be taken over 5 days meaning we will need to cover roughly 50 miles or 16 hours continuous walking per day to reach this target. We will follow the route the Anglo Saxon army took in 1066 to defeat the Viking invasion. This will be the old Great North Road
As out job roles as medics within the Army, we are familiar with the trials and tribulations serving personnel and veterans take within their daily lives when it comes to service related injuries. The DMRC is an unbelievable organisation that changes lives for the better.
Having previously fundraised for them and seen the fruits of our labor go to incredible developments with people like oursleves. We found oursleves drawn to support the cause again. Their purpose is what we believe to be the most admirable to raise money for.
The DMRC promotes, protects, and restores the health of the UK armed forces to ensure that they are ready and medically fit. Service personnel and civilians work side by side as medical, dental, and allied healthcare professionals and with other personnel with the relevant business and technical skills. The range of services provided by the DMRC includes primary healthcare, dental care, rehabilitation, occupational medicine, community mental healthcare and specialist medical care.
They are genuinely a wonderful charity and anyone interested in their cause should read further into it as their work is far beyond what can be summarised here.
