The Hive Kirkcaldy (charity number SC053922) is an LGBTQIA+ community Hub based in the heart of Kirkcaldy Fife. We welcome the whole community including ALL minority groups and offer support with any social and economic issues they may face.

We currently offer several services including but not limited to:

• Peer support groups for LGBTQIA+ and non LGBTQIA+

• FREE 1-2-1 therapy sessions

• Community Pantry where people can access fresh and ambient goods

• A clothing bank offering quality new and used items for those in need

• A warm and welcoming space to socialise and meet new people

• Social events

• FREE fitness sessions from a qualified personal trainer in an LGBTQIA+ friendly gym

• Public access laptops

• Autism support group

• Youth group

• Help and advice on other local services

• FREE Hot food daily throughout winter

• FREE hot drink daily throughout the year

• Volunteering opportunities and training to enhance skills

Since taking over in April 2023 with Love and Harmony CIC we have continued to grow. Over the past 2 winters we have fed over 2000 members of the public and welcomed over 5000 people to the space.

Recently we made the decision to become a registered charity under OSCR regulations. The main reason for this was so we could purchase the building we operate in to secure the long-term future of the organisation as a community asset. The sale would allow us to put any income straight back into the charity rather than towards rental costs ensuring our continued growth.

To do this, WE NEED YOUR HELP. We can secure most of the funding through a grant scheme; however, we need to raise the shortfall through fundraising ourselves. We appreciate that this is a difficult time for many financially, but we believe that The Hive Kirkcaldy will help alleviate these issues long term. We are asking for donations of any amount to support our cause. In return we will continue to offer the services that make such a difference to so many. In the future we are hoping to restore the upper level of the building to offer further services and create employment opportunities which we will keep within the local area.

We believe the community should be at the heart of everything we do. Not only do we host groups and activities, but we are also a space for other organisations too. We regularly have addiction services, local MP surgeries, citizens advice and financial support organisations in who can help people with a variety of issues they may be facing.
