Thanks to very generous funding from Steve Morgan we are thrilled to have introduced the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme at the Hive this year.

Our first ever Duke of Edinburgh group of five young people are working towards their Bronze Award. They have been working hard to complete their skills, physical and volunteering requirements, which vary in length from three to six months.

The final section is the expedition which involves one night camping and two days walking, using map reading, navigation skills and working as a team, as well as pitching a tent and cooking their own meals.

This team of five are taking part in The Wirral Coastal Walk as part of their training, they will be carrying their full expedition kit for half of the walk.

Our Hive Ambassadors will be joining them on the walk, and together these amazing young people have decided to raise money for the Hive
