The 3rd Annual Ledder Run is taking place this year, organised by students from John Masefield Sixth Form. Participants will be running 10 km around Ledbury to raise money for an incredible and life-saving cause: the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

The Ledder Run has quickly become a fantastic community tradition, bringing students, staff, and local supporters together to make a real difference. What started as a student-led idea has grown into an inspiring event that encourages teamwork, determination, and community spirit.

This year, our runners will be taking on a 10 km route around Ledbury, challenging themselves physically while supporting a charity that helps people in some of the most critical moments of their lives.

The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity provides rapid response emergency care to people across the region. Their helicopters and critical care cars bring highly trained doctors, paramedics, and advanced medical equipment directly to the scene of serious accidents and medical emergencies. In many situations, these crews deliver hospital-level treatment at the roadside, in homes, or in rural locations where time is absolutely critical.

Unlike many emergency services, air ambulances are largely funded by public donations rather than government funding. This means that events like the Ledder Run play an important role in helping to keep these life-saving services in the air and on the road.

Every donation, big or small, helps the Midlands Air Ambulance continue responding to emergencies, providing advanced care, and giving people the best possible chance when every second counts.
