Story
The Music Works are kicking off the summer with a group challenge! Our top team of runners will be taking on a 5k course, racing and bouncing their way around 30 inflatable obstacles on Saturday 30th May, all in aid of The Music Works new campaign to support The Drop, our open access music making provision for young people aged 10-25.
So, a group of us from The Music Works team are taking on the challenge — Simon, Emily, Georgia, Claire, and Hamish are running the 5K, while Ellie and Adam are tackling the 2.5K. Some of us are runners. Some of us are… optimistic. All of us care deeply about what this charity does and want to make a difference.
So much of what we do at The Music Works is about removing the barriers that stop young people accessing music — cost being one of the biggest. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us keep our programmes low cost or free and accessible to the young people who need them most.
If you believe in what The Music Works does, please consider making a donation, no matter how small, it goes a long way. And if you can't donate, sharing this page costs nothing and goes a long way, and helps us spread the word!
Want to get involved beyond donating?
We've also just launched our partnership with Run for Charity, which means you can sign up for an official race near you at a reduced cost and raise money for The Music Works at the same time. Whether you're a seasoned parkrunner or someone who once jogged for a bus and felt pretty good about it, there's a race for you.
