This Black Friday, We’re Doing Things a Little Differently…

Hi! We’re Rachael and James - siblings, co-founders of Original Jigsaw Co., and two people who’ve never quite warmed to Black Friday....

To us, Black Friday weekend is usually all about getting as much as you can, for as little as possible.

And honestly? That’s never really sat right with us.

So three years ago, we decided to flip the whole thing on its head.

Instead of our prices going down, they go up.

And every time a customer pays that £1 extra, we give £4.

That means £5 from every jigsaw sold this weekend goes straight to LIV Village - a foster care community in Durban, South Africa, giving orphaned and vulnerable children the chance to grow up in loving, stable foster families.

Why LIV Village?

For personal reasons close to our hearts, we care a lot about children in the care system.

At LIV Village, children who’ve been abandoned, neglected, or left without a safe home are welcomed into warm, long-term foster families. They’re given love, stability, education, community, and the chance to flourish.

Over the past three years, together with our amazing customers, here’s what we’ve been able to do:

Year 1: £3,000 raised - enough to install six solar panels, providing clean, uninterrupted power.

Year 2: £11,845 raised - enough to fully sponsor one LIV family for a year.

This year? Well, we’re excited to see what could happen.
