Story
Many of you may remember last year when The Paw Pack team took on the incredible challenge of walking the Ullswater Way in the Lake District. We smashed 20 miles and raised an amazing £2,000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK 💛
This year, we’re going even bigger and better…
On Sunday 3rd May, we’ll be taking on a full marathon — 26.6 miles — walking from Dunstnbrough Castle to Cresswell along the stunning Northumberland coastline 🌊
This time, we’re raising funds for Live Well with Cancer Hub, a fantastic local charity based in North Shields that supports people affected by cancer to improve their health and wellbeing.
We’ve chosen this charity on behalf of Anna, one of our wonderful Paw Pack clients. Her springer spaniel, Rosie, has been coming to us for the past 5 years. In April 2025, Anna was sadly diagnosed with metastatic bowel cancer at just 40 years old.
Over the past year, Anna has undergone chemotherapy and multiple surgeries. Her treatment is ongoing, but throughout it all she continues to face everything with a smile and such an inspiringly positive attitude.
Anna and her husband Al have personally benefited from the incredible support offered by the Live Well Hub — including support groups, workshops, exercise and crafting classes, and counselling.
We would love to give back to this amazing local charity so they can continue providing such vital support to others who need it.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, we would be so grateful. Every penny truly makes a difference to a cause that means so much to us ❤️
Thank you so much for your support!
