OUR AIMS
On the afternoon of Saturday 16th May at 3pm, The Rehab Physio is hosting a charity football match at Tranmere Rover’s home ground, Prenton Park, to raise money for the Fletchers Foundation.
The funds raised will go directly towards supporting people with life-changing injuries, helping them access the essential treatment and rehabilitation they need to improve their quality of life.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------MEET OUR PARTNERS
Fletchers Foundation provides access to financial grants, with the objective of enabling individuals, and their families, to thrive and move forward in the best way possible, following life changing injury.
This is done via grants for wheelchairs, prosthetics, mental wellbeing support and, of course, access to specialised rehabilitation. Fletchers Foundation also partners with local community groups, registered charities, and schools to help individuals or groups of people.
For those left with a disability or cognitive behavioural needs, Fletchers Foundation empowers them to live their lives to the fullest, creating moments that matter most to them.
Fletchers Foundation has sponsored many of our patients at The Rehab Physio, helping them to complete intensive rehabilitation programmes, alongside many other individuals and organisations across the UK.
On behalf of every person that has received support from Fletchers Foundation to visit us at The Rehab Physio, we give a huge Thank You. We would love to give something back.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WHAT DO FUNDED NEURO REHAB PLACEMENTS MEAN FOR OUR PATIENTS?
The benefits, both physical and mental, of rehab following a life changing injury are extensive. Neuro physio can help with spasticity (muscle stiffness), chronic pain and weight gain as well as preventing bone density deterioration and muscle wastage. Physically active patients with life changing injuries also reduce the risk of secondary issues.
In addition, there are also huge psychological gains to be made, from setting goals and seeing progress during their rehab sessions.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------HOW DOES YOUR DONATION HELP?
Unfortunately, the cost associated with long-term rehabilitation is a massive hurdle for many people. By making a donation, you’re helping more people with life-changing injuries to access the appropriate rehabilitation that they need to achieve the best outcomes possible.
The easiest way is to make a donation on this page but you can also make donations on the evening of the match.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------EVENT DETAILS
The event commences at 2.30pm, with a football match between team members, colleagues and friends of The Rehab Physio and Fletchers Foundation kicking off at 3pm. This will then be followed by an awards presentation, games and drinks in Aldo’s Bar.
Attendees will have the opportunity to find out more about how the sponsored rehab programmes work and meet team members of the the organisations in an informal setting.
