Story

Three Friends. One Rickshaw. 3,000 kms of chaos. What could go wrong.

This September, the three of us, Paddy Sardeson, Matt Welch, and Reece Barter, will be taking part in the legendary Rickshaw Run across India. The aim of the 'race' is to get from Jaisalmer in the North, to Fort Kochi in the South, as fast as a 7 horse power engine can carry us.

The route...? Head South.

Any concerns or fears...? It might be a touch hot.

Why...? Umm funny? But also because we're raising money for an incredible charity that's very close to our hearts called Future Hope - https://www.futurehope.net/

The website link will give you a far better idea of what Future Hope do, but in short, it is a charitable organisation that gives opportunity through its homes, school, sports and medical programme for some of the most vulnerable children from the streets and slums of Kolkata, India.

The charity is particularly close to Paddy's heart as he worked at the school for 6 months when he was 19 years old. He taught English (which is surprising given his fairly poor grasp of the language) and coached rugby (not great at that either). It really is an unbelievable organisation and any donations will genuinely make a huge difference in hundreds of children's' lives.

For all those that may be concerned for our welfare, please do not fear, we've all had our tetanus jab, we didn't bother with the rabies, and we're travelling with a doctor, Reece, so we feel completely at ease.

That is of course unless Reece himself gets injured, in which case, Matt (the 'management consultant') will diagnose the issue, make a stellar Powerpoint, and then send him an invoice. Paddy will then take over and bore him to death talking about insurance.

As you can see, all eventualities have been considered.

Anyway, thank you very much for reading this. If you've made it this far, that means you are mildly interested, in which case you should probably now throw in a few quid.

Thank you and see you (hopefully) when we get back.
