Children’s Cancer North is the Malhotra Group’s nominated charity for 2026, and The Runhead is proud to be raising vital funds and awareness in support of their incredible work.

Children’s Cancer North is dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people with cancer across the North East and Cumbria. Each year, around 100 children from the region are diagnosed with cancer and receive treatment at the Great North Children’s Hospital in Newcastle.

The charity works tirelessly to enhance quality of life for these children and their families by transforming ward environments and play experiences, providing access to potentially life-saving clinical trials, and funding groundbreaking research to develop more effective treatments. They also support essential clinical services and offer crucial help to families during the most challenging times.
