Benefit Gig · 23 November 2024

The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After playing a few songs at my 60th in the summer, The Forest Tavern invited Downstream Revival to play at a future date. Rosie and I decided to use the opportunity to raise money for the charity The Sick Children's Trust. Our youngest daughter, Ruby, which some of you will know, had major spinal fusion surgery earlier this year, and The Sick Children's Trust was both kind and helpful by offering us a place to stay close to the Royal London Hospital whilst Ruby was in intensive care.

Rosie and I thought a benefit gig would bring everyone together before the Christmas season and support the charity. You can find out more here: https://www.sickchildrenstrust.org/.

Performing with the band will be our daughters - Sophia, Jessica and Ruby - for some songs, plus other musicians, and we are delighted to announce three special guests:

Hope Augustus - jazz singer

Kerry Hodgkin - jazz/blues singer

Dan McKean - guitar/singer-songwriter
