Campaign by PSPA (RCN 1037087 (England & Wales), SC041199 (Scotland))
PSPA Pathway to Progress is a UK-wide virtual event where participants' collective distances walked, run, or cycled will be logged to try to create a Pathway around Great Britain’s Coastline. Help raise awareness & funds for PSP & CBD.

Story

I've been thinking about Gampy a lot in the lead up to our first Father’s Day without him. I think I must have spent nearly every Father's Day of my life with him. The page pictures are from some of many Father's Day trips to the Breiwick Cafe for Sunday roast and the obligatory tins.

I wanted to make this an opportunity to raise some pennies and awareness in his honour while we plod along with our memories of him.

So, in Gampy's honour, we'll be walking from Lerwick to Bixter, when Luke is home, the weekend after Father's Day to raise money for the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association (PSPA). We'll decide nearer the time which day will work best.

I know there seems to be lots of fundraisers going at the moment, so don't feel any pressure, but if anyone would like to make a donation we would be very grateful.

We won’t be making this a group walk due to road safety, but if anyone wants to appear at the start line (the Lerwick sign at the three lanes) or finish line (the Bixter sign) or on the route to wave us along, we'd be glad to see you.

PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to creating a better future for everyone affected by Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasal Degeneration.

We will do this by: Providing information and support to enable families living with PSP & CBD to live their best possible lives; Improving the quality of life for people living with the condition via research and awareness raising; Putting the voice of the PSP & CBD community at the heart of what we do.
