Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

So, four mates (Rev Alex Brown, Rev Joe Heaton, Alan Crebbin and Steve Curtis) are all in a team for The Parish Walk, marvelously supported by the wonderful Becky Creer (our support driver until Peel) , hoping to raise much needed dosh for local charities. One of those charities is Motiv8 addiction services, and three of us are walking for them.

We're walking from Douglas to Peel (the parish of 'St German' on the map) as a minimum (32.5miles) all in the same day as part of the MT Parish Walk, though one or two may go a little further (not Rev Alex ... no way).

Motiv8 are an amazing charity who work with people trapped by the patterns of thought and action that addiction causes. They work for free with individuals, families and friends affected by addiction, giving support, advice, 1-1 help, group therapies and more. They will work with the people involved until they no longer want or need the services. They are quite simply incredible.

Most people have been affected by addiction in some way, whether it be a friend with a gambling issue, a family member with an alcohol problem or a colleague who can't break free from drugs. Donating to Motiv8 sees that individuals and families get the free help that they need.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
