Thirteen Years On: Still Fighting Lupus in Memory of My Mum.

This October, I'm once again raising funds for Lupus UK in memory of my incredible mum, Jean. It's now 13 years since she lost her battle with lupus, and not a day goes by that I don't think of her.

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune condition that can attack any part of the body. It is still underfunded, still misunderstood, and still leaves thousands of people navigating a difficult, unpredictable illness with too little support. Many of them, like Mum, are battling something that others can't see.

Jean understood how vital Lupus UK's work is. She was a passionate supporter and gave regularly to fund research. Every year since, I've been proud to carry that on, it still feels like the best way to honour her.

This year, I'm taking on donation, with the support of my business, The Urban Vintage Affair. My goal is to raise £1000.

Every pound, however small, helps fund life changing research and gives comfort and support to families affected by lupus.
