W.WALK & TALK IN SURREY: 17 MARCH
As part of our exciting new event series, W. WALK & TALK we will be hosting charity walks all over the country to bring women in business to connect with one another in beautiful natural locations.
Hosted by our members and with all proceeds going to charity, these walks are a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded women, share stories and insights and build your network.
The walks are open to members and non-members.
Our next walk is on Sunday, 17 March 2024 in Thursley in Surrey and will be hosted by one of our founding members, Maggie Smart, Co-founder of FOLK Clothing.
Maggie has chosen to support Mane Chance Sanctuary with the proceeds from the walk. This is why this charity is important to Maggie: “I have chosen to support Mane Chance Sanctuary after witnessing the benefits for my son after he participated in the young persons support programme at the sanctuary. The sessions are designed to support those who need additional help in navigating life’s ups and downs. They worked with him on building trust, building his self esteem and fostering genuine connections. Currently in Surrey, the support for children with additional needs is at breaking point and Mane Chance provides vital support for those unable to access education or in need of additional support - their work is incredible and they rely on donations to continue.”

Mane Chance rescue horses who have suffered situations of abuse, neglect or abandonment and provide them with a safe home where they feel loved and cared for.
Working alongside the horses, Mane Chance support children with additional needs, including those on the autistic spectrum, those who self-harm, have eating disorders and a range of physical and mental disabilities.
"A wonderful place, there's a sort of 'other worldliness' about it, a real gem in the heart of Surrey."
