The Yorkshire Vet - Charity Hack

Story

Team Peter Takes on the Charity Hack! 🐴

As part of The Yorkshire Vet Christmas Special, the vets are going head-to-head in a festive challenge - each team taking on a different activity to raise money for charity!

Team Peter: Shona, David, and Rohin, will be saddling up for a fun and friendly charity horse riding hack, raising funds for The Farming Community Network (FCN)

The event will be filmed for Channel 5, and while the hack itself is just for our riders, you’re welcome to join us on foot for a walk, cheer them on, or simply donate to help raise as much as possible for these brilliant causes.

The hack will be easy-going, sociable, and full of festive fun, especially as it’s Rohin and David’s first proper hack - they’ve only been on a horse once before! Expect laughter, countryside views, and plenty of Christmas cheer, all in support of farmers, farm workers, and their families who rely on the incredible work of The Farming Community Network, as well as the Blue Cross, who care for sick, injured, and homeless animals across the UK.

We’ll also have a tea, coffee, and cake stand at the start of the route — the perfect place to grab a brew, meet everyone, and send our riders off in style. More info is available on our social media accounts!

If you’ve found yourself on this page, your donation will go directly to The Farming Community Network (FCN), supporting farmers, farm workers, and their families through difficult times.

If you’d like to join us for the hack, we’re asking for a £10 donation — and if you can’t make it on the day but still want to show your support, any contribution big or small would mean the world.

Meanwhile, across Yorkshire, Team Julian - Matt, Lucy, and Lucy - will also be taking on their own challenge to raise money for charity… we’ll keep you updated!
