Story
One family run. One first half marathon. Ten years backing a charity that changes lives.
On 1 March, I’ll be running the Brighton Half Marathon with my brother Giles and my nephew Jake to raise money for Together Co, a charity that helps people experiencing loneliness and isolation. For Jake, it will be his first half (13.1 miles!), and for us three, the first time we as a family have taken on such a challenge, together.
Giles and Jake’s support is even more special because they’re helping me mark my decade of volunteering as a trustee and Chair of Together Co.
I’ve seen the difference the charity makes to people who feel cut off or overlooked, by helping them build friendships and connections that change lives. And we want to make sure Together Co can do even more into the future.
So, if you can, please donate - every pound will make a difference:
• £10 covers the cost of volunteer visiting someone
• £25 funds a befriending or social activities where real friendships begin.
Jake, Giles and I have set ourselves the target of raising £1,000.
Thank you for helping us smash it!
