Hi, I’m Thea, and I will be climbing to Everest Base Camp to raise money for the Meningitis Research Foundation. This organisation plays a crucial role in fighting meningitis and supporting affected families. They aim to defeat meningitis and septicaemia by 2030!

Meningitis can affect anyone, although it most commonly affects toddlers and students.

Meningitis is the swelling of the lining (the meninges) in the brain and spinal cord; it is usually caused by an infection.

The symptoms include, but are not limited to: fever, stiff neck, sensitivity to lights, vomiting, muscle, headaches, seizures, rash, and confusion.
