Story
✂️ Our little girl Thea has decided to do something incredibly special, she’s agreed to have her beautiful, long hair chopped off and donated to the Little Princess Trust.
Her hair will help to provide real hair wigs for children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer treatment or other conditions such as Alopecia, completely free of charge to them.
Alongside donating her hair, we wanted to raise some money to cover the cost of turning that hair into a wig and getting it to a child who needs it. The Little Princess Trust estimates that it costs around £700 to make, package and deliver each wig, so we wanted to raise that at the very least to help towards that too.
One morning during the school holidays, Thea woke up and told us she wanted to do a 'yard sale' to raise some money, so we got baking and set up outside the house and thanks to the generosity of family, friends and neighbours, she raised an amazing £160!
It was all her idea (and some inspiration for the yard sale from Toy Story we think 🤣) so we are so proud of her.
We couldn’t be prouder of her. She knows she’ll be saying goodbye to a lot of her lovely long hair, but she’s so excited to know that it could help make such a huge difference to another child.
The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give hair and hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.
The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK, looking for for better and kinder treatments into childhood cancers
If you’d like to support Thea and help her get closer to her fundraising goal, every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.
Thank you so much!
