Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 5th October I’ll be taking on a 7 day hike of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa.
I’m currently staying in Nakuru, Kenya, living in one of the houses at the beehive foundation. I’m constantly in awe of both the staff and girls.
On average, it costs roughly £1000 to fund both houses for food, milk and basic necessities per month. This provides for 16 young mums, 13 children/toddlers and 6 babies (plus lunch for staff).
It would be so amazing to be able to fund a months’ worth of basic provisions for the houses and know that I’ve climbed Kilimanjaro for a purpose rather than just personal achievement!
To fund the schooling, overheads of the house and staff costs much more but whatever we can raise will be so appreciated.

The beehive refuge uses a holistic approach to help child mothers on the road to recovery from trauma. We build safe, stable and loving homes which centre on traditional family values. We help the girls navigate the difficult transition into motherhood and provide them with support and life skills they need to be good mothers.
While also ensuring they receive the care and support needed for them to complete their own childhood. Our carers support the girls and look after their children as they return to school or training to learn key life skills, and grow into confident, happy and capable young women.
