Mum passed away on July 8th this year, after a 2 year battle with cancer and 4 years since she had a stroke that robbed her of her ability to speak. In those final years of life she, and I, found new friends at, and received incredible love and support from, Cafe West in Allerton. The Cafe West team, made up of staff and volunteers, are utterly incredible. Not only do they provide a range of activities and services to support the local and wider communities but they do so with such dedication, joy and empathy that it is both heart warming and humbling to experience.

I cannot do enough to thank them for the love, friendship and kindness they showed Mum.

So this year I would like to dedicate the Big Christmas Tree to Cafe West.
