🏃♂️ About the challenge
Students and staff from The Blandford School are taking on an ambitious endurance challenge on The Blandford Trailway.
Over a 24-hour period, we aim to collectively cover around 1400km, symbolically travelling from John o' Groats to Land's End, as a continuous team effort.
This challenge will test teamwork, resilience, and determination, with participants contributing through a mix of endurance-based activity such as walking, running, cycling, and other movement throughout the event.
The aim is not only to complete the distance, but to come together as a community to raise awareness and vital funds for two important charities: Teddy20 and Andy’s Man Club, both of which support young people and mental health.
Every mile completed represents effort, unity, and support for these causes, and every donation helps make a real difference.
💙 Why we are raising money for Andy’s Man Club
We are raising money for Andy’s Man Club to support their vital work in helping men talk openly about mental health.
Andy’s Man Club provides safe, free peer-to-peer support groups across the UK, offering a space where men can share their experiences without judgement. Their sessions help break the stigma around mental health and remind people that it is okay to talk and ask for help.
Closer to home in Blandford, like many communities, we have been affected by the impact of suicide and mental health struggles. This has reinforced just how important it is to create safe spaces where people feel able to open up and access support early.
By supporting Andy’s Man Club, we hope to help more men feel able to speak, be heard, and get the support they need.
Every donation helps save lives by encouraging open conversation and reducing stigma around mental health.
