Story
The Book Ferret, Arundel's Independent Bookshop, is getting a new name. Guess the new name (with the help of a few clues), and you could win a £50 Book Token - and raise money for Turning Tides!
Turning Tides is the largest provider of support for homeless men and women in West Sussex. Over the last 30 years the charity has continued to grow, developing a wide range of award-winning services to meet the individual needs of people accessing their support.
Turning Tides believes that everyone has the right to a home and supports people at every stage in their journey out of homelessness. The charity brings together compassionate individuals and organisations who work tirelessly to transform the lives of people in the local community.
There is a minimum entry fee of £2 (more is perfectly acceptable), and all money to goes to Turning Tides.
Here are your clues:
- The name is the title of a novel published in the twentieth century
- The name doesn't specifically refer to books or bookshops
- The novel is by a British author, who is sadly no longer with us
The competition closes on Sunday June 16th.
The new name will be revealed, and the winner announced on Thursday June 20th.
Make a donation and include your guess in your donation message.
One correct guess will win the £50 book token.
If there are multiple correct entries, one winner will be chosen at random.
If nobody guesses correctly, then the prize will be awarded to one entry which in the opinion of the judges would be the best suggestion for a bookshop name.
